October 21, 2015World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, which takes place every 2 years, is a unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world. This year’s theme is “Hidden Lives / Hidden Patients” and will focus on patients who struggle with access to palliative care, including children, LGBT individuals, HIV patients, and those living in rural settings.
These are the key messages:
- Everyone matters.
- In palliative care, no one should be invisible.
- Palliative care for all with life-limiting illnesses.
