MEET FELLOW VETERANS
Doors open at 9:00 am so that fellow veterans can have a “meet and greet” time. A complimentary Mexican lunch will follow the “Inaugural Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day Celebration.” This is an opportunity to thank our Vietnam Veterans for their service and sacrifice, along with their families. Let’s give our veterans a turn-out they will remember. Vietnam Veterans will receive special lapel pins honoring their service and sacrifice provided by the Department of Defense’s Vietnam War Commemoration committee.
THE PROGRAM’S AGENDA
The keynote speakers will be Marine Corps Brigadier General David M. Brahms who served with the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing in Da Nang, Vietnam. He retired from active service in 1988 and has long been a strong advocate for veterans. He received the “high Legion of Merit Bronze Star with Combat V,” along with many other awards for his service.
SLIDE SHOW
A slide show from Vietnam Veterans will be presented. This will offer a running tribute to those who served, their memories, and views of the days they served and places they were sent. After the ceremony, photos will be viewable on the website and Facebook page of Hospice of the North Coast.
REMEMBRANCE TABLE
A remembrance table will be set up to share photos of memories of those Vietnam Veterans who either are no longer here or were unable to attend this ceremony. Cards will be provided as well to write the names of the missing.
Come join us at this ceremony to learn and remember.
